December 17, 2025 | Day 2 of the Journey to 10k Users and $100k MRR

Day 2 was about setting the stage. A clear marketing strategy was developed, Ideatr was posted across multiple indie platforms to kick-start exposure, and the Git repo and internal setup were cleaned up and organized. By the end of the day, the foundation was solid, friction was removed, and Ideatr was ready to move fast on both building and marketing.

Day 2 of the Journey to 10k Users and $100k MRR

Today was another foundational day.

Not much of what happened today is flashy, but a lot of it was necessary to move forward without friction.

The first big focus was marketing direction. I spent time thinking through how Ideatr should actually get in front of people, where early users might come from, and what platforms make sense right now. Instead of waiting until the product is “perfect,” the goal is to start learning from real users as early as possible.

So Ideatr is now live on a bunch of indie and early-adopter platforms. This isn’t about growth yet. It’s about exposure, feedback, and seeing how people react when they encounter the product for the first time.

The second major chunk of the day was cleanup and preparation.

I cleaned up the Git repo, organized things that were messy, removed friction, and generally made sure the project is in a good state to move fast. This kind of work is easy to postpone, but it always slows you down later if you do.

By the end of today, everything feels set up properly:

  • the repo is clean

  • the direction is clearer

  • marketing is no longer an afterthought

  • and the foundation is in place to actually push forward

Ideatr feels ready now — ready to build aggressively and market consistently instead of stumbling over setup issues.

Tomorrow, the focus shifts from preparation to execution.
More building. More shipping. More feedback.

Day 2 down.
